Privacy Policy

The single purpose of the TradeCoach AI Chrome extension is to analyze emails (Gmail, Outlook) and LinkedIn messages that users read in the browser and to provide real-time negotiation suggestions, BATNA calculation, and tactical counter-offer recommendations. The extension serves only this function; it does not collect or use data for advertising, data sales, or any other purpose.

The activeTab permission is used to access the content of the currently active tab only when the user activates the extension (e.g. by opening the side panel or clicking the analysis button). Access to the visible page content is required to analyze the email or LinkedIn message text. This access occurs only after user action and is limited to that tab.

The extension accesses only the following host origins to provide analysis and overlay functionality: mail.google.com, outlook.live.com, linkedin.com, and related subdomains. This access is required to read the email or message text the user is viewing and to inject the analysis UI into those pages. No other origins are requested.

The scripting permission is used to inject content scripts into Gmail, Outlook, and LinkedIn pages only when the user uses the extension. These scripts are required to extract the visible email or message text from the page and to display the analysis overlay. Scripts run only on the permitted host origins and only after user action.

The sidePanel permission is used to display the extension's analysis results (sentiment analysis, BATNA summary, counter-offer suggestions) in the browser side panel. Users can view tactical suggestions in the side panel while reading emails or messages, without switching tabs.

The storage permission is used to store user preferences (e.g. language, theme), license status, and optionally local cache data on the device. All data is kept only on the user's device; no personal data is sent to servers. Use of storage is consistent with the extension's single purpose.

The tabs permission is used to determine which tab the user is currently on (e.g. Gmail or LinkedIn) and to perform extension actions such as opening or focusing the side panel in the correct tab context. Tab URLs are used only to check for supported hosts; they are not used for tracking or advertising.

The TradeCoach AI extension does not download or execute remote code from external servers at runtime. All logic is contained within the packaged extension. API calls used for analysis only send and receive data (text); no scripts or code are loaded from remote sources. Therefore no remote code is used; this may be stated as "No remote code is used" in the Privacy practices tab if required.
